Our team of highly qualified Chartered and Health Professions Council (HCPC) registered physiotherapists are dedicated to providing the highest level of care and treatment. We will provide you with an expert level of clinical assessment and will plan an appropriate treatment programme tailored to your individual needs. We aim to identify the underlying cause of your symptoms (e.g. bio mechanical mal-alignment, postural dysfunction, muscle weakness, joint stiffness) and treat your current symptoms and the cause. As a result, our overall concern is your general well-being and the prevention of your symptoms reoccurring.
At your first visit, you will be fully assessed. The initial part of the assessment is the history taking. This is vital to ensure that we identify the cause of your symptoms and to ensure your safety through correct treatment selection.
The physiotherapist will then examine the affected area and any areas that may contribute to your symptoms (e.g. the low back with lower limb problems and the neck with shoulder pain).
Once we have sufficient information, we will discuss your symptoms and any contributing factors with you. We will then offer you the most appropriate treatment and you will be given the opportunity to discuss this further.
For the examination, you will be required to suitably undress. A pair of shorts is ideal for examination of the low back or lower limbs.
